Every year for the past few years, the LDS Church has set a Christmas initiative for the month of December. Building on other recent campaigns of "He is the Gift" and "Because of Him, this year is all about "A Savior is Born". This is a theme they want people to think about as you celebrate the true meaning of Christmas --- the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. They do a wonderful job at spreading this to so many people by making the message available across virtually all social media. Think about all the platforms out there for videos and such to go viral: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, etc. Also, by having the video available in 33 languages it is able to spread far and wide across the whole world. The message will be displayed in New York City's Times Square. I think this is super cool. This will be something millions of members and non-members alike will enjoy for Christmas 2015.

The videos, that can be found on christmas.mormon.org, teach about why we need Christ and why he is essential to God's plan. By using #ASaviorIsBorn you can share why He is important to you. You can also fill in the blank: He is born so I can _________.
I enjoy things like this the Church puts out. They are always so well done and they help us remember the purpose behind the busiest Holiday of the year. The gifts, toys and money will always be limited, but God's love is not. Let us remember that a Savior is Born and that He truly lives.
